I Love My Little Teddy |
||
| I love my little teddy | ||
| His name is Eddy | ||
| My father says I'm soft because I'm five | ||
| But I don't care | ||
| I love my little bear | ||
| Somehow he makes me glad to be alive | ||
| When I'm in a muddle | ||
| Or when I want a cuddle | ||
| I hug my teddy | ||
| Then I feel allright | ||
| People say you silly-billy | ||
| But I say willy-nilly | ||
| Teddy's nice to snuggle up to in the night | ||
| And sometimes late at night | ||
| When I am full of fright | ||
| And there may be monsters there | ||
| But it is too dark to see | ||
| I hug my teddy bear | ||
| Which helps to ease my cares | ||
| And when I say a prayer | ||
| I know nothing can harm me | ||
| He never makes me cross | ||
| He seems to know that I'm the boss | ||
| He's been with me since I was only three | ||
| If I leave him home I find | ||
| That he's always on my mind | ||
| That's why I take him everwhere with me | ||
| When I play with my toys | ||
| And I make a lot of noise | ||
| And mother's cross old teddy doesn't mind | ||
| Grown-ups are so tough | ||
| But teddy isn't rough | ||
| He's soft and cuddly and he seems so kind | ||
| And if you knew | ||
| Teddy like I do | ||
| I'm sure that you | ||
| Would love him too | ||
